Lotus Cruises’ newest boutique luxury ship, the Mekong Discovery, launched in September 2024, offers a truly intimate experience for just 37 guests. Each of the 19 suites is beautifully appointed with floor-to-ceiling windows, modern amenities, and luxurious walk-in rainforest showers. Some suites feature French balconies, while the Prestige Suites offer private balconies, sitting areas, and spa bathtubs. Our crew of 32 ensures every moment of your journey is filled with warmth and attentive care. You’ll enjoy fine Asian and international cuisine, relax in the cozy lounge, and soak up the views from the sundeck, complete with a pool and comfortable loungers. Our ship was uniquely designed with a low draft for the most convenient and seamless journey. Departing directly from the heart of Hochiminh City, the Mekong Discovery takes you on a peaceful and scenic journey through the Saigon River to the Mekong Delta, passing through Cho Gao canals, one of the busiest waterways connecting the Mekong River and Saigon River. During high water season, the ship can cruise through Tonle Sap Lake to Siem Reap, where you'll get to experience the unique culture of floating fishing villages in the area and take in the priceless views of Cambodian daily life.

The Suites

On board our latest addition to the fleet, choose from an outstanding selection of suites with high ceilings, meticulous attention to every opulent detail and modern comfort, each offering a private balcony and landscape vistas.

Prestige Suite

Located on the Upper Deck, these two luxurious and spacious suites offer a generous living area of 603 square feet (56 square meters). Featuring a private, expansive, and airy balcony, they provide the perfect setting for guests to unwind and savor stunning sunsets and picturesque views. The Prestige Suites include a sumptuous bathroom with a spacious spa tub and premium toiletries, complemented by daily butler service and a minibar restocked daily with local beer, soft drinks, and water. The suites are furnished with either a king-sized bed or two twin beds, based on the guest’s preference, ensuring a customized and exceptional experience.”

Signature Suite

Located at the front of the ship on the Upper Deck, the Signature Suites offer a comfortable and spacious living area of 299 square feet (28 square meters). Each suite features a French-style balcony that provides stunning views of the untouched natural landscape, offering a serene atmosphere where guests can enjoy the beauty of sunrise or sunset. The Vista Suites can be configured with either two twin beds or one queen-sized bed, according to the guests’ preference. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and premium toiletries, and the minibar is restocked daily. Additional amenities such as a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer are also provided, ensuring a perfect and convenient stay.

Vista Suite

Located mid-ship on the Main Deck, the Vista Suites on either side offer spacious and tranquil living quarters with an area of 299 square feet (28 square meters). Each suite features a French-style balcony, providing a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal space for rest and relaxation. Guests can enjoy the comfort of a cozy bed while gazing directly at the picturesque and untouched landscape outside. The Vista Suites can be flexibly arranged with either two twin beds or one queen-sized bed according to guests’ preferences. The bathrooms are equipped with a shower and premium toiletries, and the minibar is restocked daily. Additionally, other amenities such as a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer are provided, ensuring guests’ comfort and convenience.

Vista Single Suite

Located at the bow of the Main deck, the Vista Single Suite offers a cozy and inviting living space, a unique variant of the Vista Suite designed specifically for solo travelers who enjoy exploring and experiencing the Mekong River. This suite is an ideal place for contemplation, relaxation, and admiring the rustic natural scenery, especially during the serene moments of sunrise and sunset over the picturesque Mekong River. The Vista Single Suite features a charming French-style balcony, outfitted with a comfortable single bed and a modern bathroom equipped with a shower and premium toiletries. The minibar is replenished daily, ensuring maximum convenience for guests. Additionally, amenities such as a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer are provided, offering absolute comfort and convenience throughout the journey.

Onboard facilities

Onboard the Mekong Discovery, try your hand at a round of mini-golf on the Observation Deck, a great place to relax and enjoy some light fun. The running track offers stunning views of the river, making it the perfect spot to exercise while taking in the scenery. After being active, you can unwind in the warm jacuzzi, where the soothing water helps relieve stress, allowing you to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Restaurant, Bar and Lounge

In a sleek Saigon Lounge and bar with a tranquil atmosphere, offering a diverse selection of cocktails and spirits crafted by professional bartenders, relax and linger over a weekend afternoon or enjoy a late-night cocktail. The space features custom-designed furniture and modern amenities, creating a warm and comfortable environment that welcomes all guests. At the onboard, Tonle Sap Restaurant, talented chefs craft meals using fresh, carefully selected local ingredients to offer guests authentic and exquisite flavors. The well-trained staff and crew, renowned for their warm hospitality, create an atmosphere that is both comfortable and charming.
