SUSTAINABILITY

Lotus are committed to improving and protecting the environment on each cruise. Sustainable travel is more than just an idea for Lotus, and several on board initiatives have been implemented by our team to protect our country’s future and guest experience. Eco-friendly products such as glass carafes replace plastic bottles, and refillable aluminium water containers for excursions have been sourced from our partner “Refill Not Landfill”. Plastic straws and cocktail sticks are no longer in use and Styrofoam containers for packed lunches have been replaced with paper boxes. We strive to reduce future damage to the marine life and livelihoods of Mekong Delta residents.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Lotus support local communities of the Mekong Delta by encouraging a farm-to-table approach among farmers and our onboard boutique features indigenous items. Our talented team and invited performing artists are locally recruited from Vietnam and Cambodia, showcasing authentic culture for our delighted guests. A recent initiative was undertaken to collaborate with underprivileged communities through Pour Un Sourire D’Enfant which has been providing education and training programmes to street children since 1995 as well as the quality uniforms worn by the entire Lotus crew.
